Nice Rubber Lens Hood

I put this Zeikos rubber lens hood on my 18-55mm VR Nikon kit lens. It screwed on to the 52mm filter thread with no problems. The lens cap still works. The manual focus ring on the 18-55mm VR is not impaired. Zoom and autofocus still work just fine with the lens hood on.
The hood adds a fair bit of bulk to the width the lens, but I think the extra protection for the lens will be worth it. I like rubber lens hoods, as they absorb impacts, unlike plastic hoods. The hood is slightly unwieldy to collapse and expand, but works fine.
This isn't a very pretty lens hood, but for the great price, I really can't complain. |
Perfect for Nikon 50mm f/1.8D

I use this on my Nikon 50mm f/1.8D. Works perfectly, smooth threads, easy mount, easy collapse, easy extend, quality rubber, keeps shape. Cheap protection from dents/dings, sun/flare, and just looks cool on the 50!
I imagine you can use this on any lens with a 52mm thread, such as the 18-55 & 55-200 VR lenses.

| I have purchased other lens hoods in the past, this one is better built and more flexible in use than previous rubber lens hoods I've purchased. Seller was great, fast shipping, and received the product with no issues. I would not hesitate to purchase from this vendor again! |

| great little rubber hood you can screw onto any 52mm lens. works well with my 50mm prime. Very useful, however you dont want to open it the wrong way. What happened when i first took it out of the package was i rolled/pushed it out the wrong direction and the metal ring that holds the rubber came loose from the hood thus the hood lost it's shape. Took me a little time to get it back on, but now i know. wonderful to shield your lens from flare and adds protection if you randomly bang your lens against something like i do carelessly from time to time |
Not bad for the price

| I've had rubber style lens hoods in the past and they only lasted a few years because they tend to dry out. For the price its not bad and they are compact so I'm giving them a try again and see. So far they work well and look like its a bit better quality. |
Soft rubber

This hood does a great job for shielding the lens from light. It does not give much damage protection since the rubber is very soft. Fully extended, this hood is almost flimsy. I am using it on a Canon 50mm 1.8. I am able to put the lens cap in place with this hood.
The price is right. |
